This University Diploma aims to train dental surgeons in the comprehensive management of periodontal diseases, from diagnosis to the most advanced treatments, integrating medical, surgical, and aesthetic approaches.
Objectives:
Assess, diagnose, and classify periodontal pathologies according to the most recent criteria.
Develop and implement a personalized treatment plan based on clinical and microbiological data.
Perform non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatments, including:
Debridement
Gingivectomy
Flap surgeries
Resective and regenerative surgeries
Aesthetic and plastic techniques
Integrate soft tissue management techniques and aesthetic considerations in periodontology and implantology.
Understand the interdisciplinary links between periodontology, prosthodontics, implantology, orthodontics, and endodontics.
Ensure long-term follow-up of the periodontal patient, including during the maintenance phase.
This training is both theoretical and practical, with clinical workshops and exercises on biological models, allowing for the immediate application of the acquired knowledge in the practice.
Successful completion of the course and final examination is acknowledged by the award of a certificate:
"Postgraduate Diploma in Periodontology"

This module highlights the interactions between periodontology and the various disciplines of modern dentistry. It addresses the relationships between prosthetics and periodontium, the principles of prosthetic design that respect periodontal tissues, the connections between endodontic and periodontal pathologies, as well as implant protocols in patients with stabilized periodontitis. Particular attention is also given to the integration of periodontology into specialized orthodontic treatments to ensure functional, aesthetic, and biologically stable outcomes.
All modules take place in Algeria as in-person sessions at the Hyatt Regency Airport Hotel Algiers.
The diploma ceremony will take place at the University of Genoa
